Physical Education (PE) and Sport

At North Fitzroy Primary School students participate in a wide variety of fun and engaging Physical Education activities. At Prep-Grade 2 level we develop student’s gross motor skills and undertake skills such as running, throwing, catching, leaping, ball bouncing, hopping and vertical jumping. Body control, balance and eye-hand co-ordination play an integral part in each class. In the upper primary, students are taught the skills of mainstream games such as basketball, cricket, football, soccer, netball, hockey and tennis. Students participate in the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, Interschool Sport, Bike Education, Hoop Time, Cross Country and many more sports clinics, ranging from fencing and archery to gymnastics.
